There will be NO new spelling list this week due to the short week. We will be reviewing in class by playing spelling bingo and by having a simple spelling bee! It will be a great time to review what we have learned so far. Spelling will resume next week.
FIELD TRIP REMINDER- Tuesday, December 2, we will travel by bus to the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum. If you are scheduled to attend as a chaperone you will need to meet at the school in the cafeteria at 9:10 am to receive your list of students and their lunches. We will also give you a schedule for the day. Sack lunches and disposable drinks are required. There is no way to purchase a lunch.
I want to take this time to wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!!

Hello, everyone! We will be busy the next week and a half getting ready for the Thanksgiving break.
Wednesday, November 19, will be our Pilgrim “feast”. We will be enjoying some traditional snacks that we see around Thanksgiving. A note went home today asking for a few donations. I will provide popcorn, pumpkin pie and juice. If you would like to contribute, please send in the slip letting me know what you will be sending in. We don’t need a lot, just a snack size portion for all to ‘feast on!”
I will be assessing this week and next in reading. Your child may be growing leaps and bounds! Practicing reading at home every evening for at least 15 minutes will help to build that sight vocabulary and strengthen their decoding skills. Thank you for spending that quality family time sharing a book together!
FIELD TRIP permission slips need to be sent in as soon as possible. I need to get the money squared away and get a final count of chaperones. We can still use you if you would like to go!!
HOMELESS PROJECT- Warm hats, gloves and socks for men and women are being collected for distribution to the homeless this holiday season. Thank you for sharing with those who have so little.

Welcome! October is here and we have been busy! We have settled into our routines and are moving full speed ahead in all areas of the curriculum. I want to thank all families for your support with homework, snacks and sending in supplies for our classroom. Thank you for all the paper towel rolls for our math and buddy projects. We have plenty right now.
Our room moms will be planning our Halloween celebration. On Friday, October 31, we will have our class party immediately following the all school parade at 1:15 pm. All parents are welcome to see the parade and stop in to enjoy the party with your child. Costumes will be sent to school in a bag that morning. We will change after lunch. I encourage all who can to pick up their child for lunch at 11:45 pm to go home to dress. Please keep make-up to a minimum and no face masks. Costumes should be appropriate, no toy weapons please.
Thank you, Mrs. Obermiller and Mrs. Drennon for volunteering to help in the computer lab on Fridays.
Have a great week!
Mrs. Adams
