Pirate Treasure Hunt Begins Monday. March 5

By Monday, March 5, every student at McCollough Elementary and Unis Middle School should have brought home a sheet marked “Search for Pirate Treasure”. This is the reading log for our March is Reading Month contest. Students will read at home and color in the spaces corresponding to the time the send reading. Older stu dents must read longer than younger students to color in a space. When an entire column is colored in, parents are to initial the bottom of the column and return the page to the teacher. For each column colored, Students will recieve a piece of pirate gold. The class with the most pirate gold wins. If your student does not bring a sheet home, click on the grade level link below to print one.

March is Reading Month

March is upon us,  and with it another exciting reading month. The Pirate Adventure is about to begin. Students will read and grow rich with gold pieces of eight for their treasure chests. Pieces of eight will be awarded for set amounts of reading according to grade level. Each class will also be making an adventure door display. We will go on a school wide adventure visit at the end of March. Watch this space for more info.
