STUDENTS

Students who need to make up classes can take summer school. Please make an appointment to see your counselor.  This year’s summer school will be held at Fordson and will start on June 23, 2010 thru August 3, 2010.  We have limited tuition assistance for those who need it. There will be NO late registration this year.

All students signed up for A.P. Chemistry for next year, you must turn in your commitment form and pick-up a textbook before you leave for summer vacation.  You can turn in your forms and pick-up your books in D-10.

Track equipment final day to turn in is Monday, June 7th.  There will be a hold placed on your schedule if you do not return the track equipment.

STUDENTS

The Dearborn High Instrumental Music Department presents its Spring Concert on Thursday May 20 at 7:30 pm. The Concert Band, Symphony Band, Symphony Orchestra, and Jazz Bands will be performing for your listening pleasure.

School store closes this Friday, May 21.  Come for our rock bottom prices.  $5.00 for t’s, $10.00 sweatpants and $10 for hoodies.  Savings also on spring merchandise.  2 for 15 bright T’s, $15 sweatpants, and $20 bright hoodies.  Last chance to get your school spirit on…at the OUTPOST.

Big softball double-header this Friday at Dearborn High.  In the 1st game, Edsel Ford plays Divine Child (4:00).  Dearborn High plays the winner in the second game.  Come support your team!

All Work Experience and Co-op Students – You must have all your paperwork in by Friday and you MUST meet with Mrs. Phillips to finalize your grade.

Attention 2010-2011 Link Leaders:  You must attend one of the mandatory Link Leader Meetings on Wednesday, May 26 at 2:30 or Thursday, May 27 at 6:30 A.M.  to be a Link Leader this fall.   Both meetings will be held in the media center.  Remember if you don’t attend one of the meetings you will be automatically dropped from the program, no excuses!

All cafeteria account balances must be paid in full before June 7th.  It has been our pleasure to serve you.  Your patronage has been appreciated throughout the year and we look forward to serving you next year.

Ms. Detone

Attention anyone interested in playing football next year – varsity or JV.  There is a Team/Parent Meeting on This Thursday night at 8:00pm in the Boys Gym.  You need to attend, and you need to bring a parent/guardian.

If you would like to attempt a Test-Out, you need to see your counselor and complete a TO Request form.   Test-Out date is scheduled for June 14th here at DHS.

Attention Dearborn High students and faculty!  Dearborn High School is holding its first Book Drive starting May 17th through June 3rd.  Please donate any of your gently used books; bins will be placed outside the school library.  All contributions will be donated to elementary schools and libraries in need.  Any donations would be greatly appreciated!

Attention Red Cross members:  there will be a meeting Friday, May 21, after school in the media

center.  Certificates will be awarded.

Lunch Menu:  Thursday: Chicken Fajita and cream of broccoli soup, Friday: Fish on a bun with a side of mac/cheese.

UM-D is offering a Transitions College Prep Workshop on June 22, 2010 from 6-9pm.  The Workshop includes sessions on:

-being successful in college

-selecting the right major and career

-scholarship information

Senior Males:

If you plan on attending UM next year, the Delta Upsilon Memorial Foundation is offering $1,000 scholarship.  You must write a short essay about yourself.  See your counselor for more details.  The deadline for the scholarship is June 10th.
