Miller Vocal & General Music

     All of Miller’s third graders are now hard at work learning the absolute names of the lines and spaces of the Treble Clef.  Each student must pass a test of these names, and a fingering test before they will receive a recoder to take home.     Studying music through recorder playing sharpens a students music reading ability.  

“Take a Trip to the Tropics”  is the theme of the 2nd and third grade vocal music concert this year.  All 2nd and 3rd graders, plus Mrs. Dabaja’s class is involved.Performances will be on Feb. 7th at 2:15 for the school and again at 6 for the parents.  Students should return to their classrooms by 5:45 pm to prepare.  The concert will last approximately 45 minutes.  2nd graders will perform first.I would love to see 100% participation and attendance in the evening.  This is one of the highlights of our students’ school year. 

I am looking forward to seeing all of my students once again and
also meeting the new kindergarteners and transfer students.

Something new is happening for Fifth Grade music. You will be given more information in a few days.
