February is Compassion and Random Acts of Kindness Month.

Whatever you do; do from your heart!

Now is a good time to share what you can with the needy, contribute to a charity, clean out your closet-and make sure all usable clothes items are donated.

DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP BASKETBALL GAME Today (FRIDAY) AT CRESTWOOD AT 7:00 AGAINST LINCOLN PARK. THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT.

KEY CLUB MEETS TODAY, Convention registration forms and fee is due by 2:30 today in A117. All members should attend. RMS/SB

Be sure to attend the Shakespeare Club Meeting in G210 each Thursday at 2:30. Spaces are filling up for the England trip and we are planning our annual Renaissance Festival. There are currently twelve spots and nine are still open. Take advantage of this awesome opportunity to experience a global classroom!

The Quill is an annual Fordson Magazine publication that features student and faculty artwork and creative writing. If you would like to have your work published this year, please submit your masterpieces to Ms. Prieur in G210 as soon as possible.

Open girl’s track conditioning every Tuesday & Thursday. Meet us at 2:45 outside the girls locker room. Everyone is welcome!!

Attention current sophomores: If you are interested in having a great junior year, come to A117 after school this Friday for 20 minutes to hear about the Generation or Promise Program that promotes understanding and connections between different communities in the Metro Detroit area. Candidates must have at least a GPA of 3, good attendance, and enjoy meeting new people in order to participate. An August over night weekend retreat is also required. A follow up meeting with Ms Chris from FOCUS Hope will also be scheduled before the application deadline which is by March 15, 2008.

AP Exam ordering time for May 2008 is fast approaching. Exams are scheduled for May 5-May 16, 2008. Locations are to be determined. The regular exam fee is $84 per test. The time for collecting exam fees will be shortened this year. AP teachers will have more info next week or stop by A117 after school and speak with Mrs. Scaramucci, if you have immediate questions or concerns.

Any senior owing a fine of any type to the school must pay it by Friday May 2, 2008 otherwise his/her name WILL not appear on the graduation program and may not be able to participate in the graduation ceremony.

Seniors!!! Our years are coming to an end faster than we know it. To make our days memorable, we present to you our own class of 2008 film which will begin next semester. This is your video. Submit your photos (pictures of games and friends) on a CD or photo copy with your name, telephone number, and email address to Ms. Elder in the counseling office. is offering The Summer Science Academy June 15th thru June 27, 2008. Applications
must be postmarked by March 14th. There is a cost involved and eligibilities apply,

The Boys Basketball games against Wyandotte Roosevelt have been changed to Thursday 2/21 (originally scheduled for Friday 2/22). Varsity (7pm) and JV (5:30pm) @ home, Freshmen (3:30pm) @ Wyandotte. Come out and support our team in their last home basketball game of the year!

There will be a Mandatory Powderpuff Football meeting Today February 20th at 2:45 p.m. in the auditorium for all juniors and seniors interested. We are looking for players, as well as cheerleaders. See Mrs. Gass for more information.

SENIORS: If you ordered a senior shirt/sweat, you have until Wednesday Feb. 20, 08 to pick them up from Mrs. Bertolis’ room, A 102, at 2:30 p.m. Anything not claimed will be donated to charity! No Exceptions.

Now is a good time to share what you can with the needy, contribute to a charity, clean out your closet-and make sure all usable clothes items are donated.

Boys Basketball District: Fordson will be playing Dearborn High on Monday 2/25, 5:30pm at Crestwood High School

Pre Med meeting today, February 20 after school in Room D205.

KEY Club will not meet this week, but all candy money is due asap. Turn in money in A117.

Next KEY Club meeting: Thursday, February, 28 from 2:20-3:30 in the cafe. The following committees will meet after the general meeting: Project 911, Relay for Life, Pop Tabs, and Alex’s Snack Shop. Health posters will be completed for 1 hour of community service in A117 also after the general meeting. After this week, KEY Club will meet on alternate Thursdays until the end of the school year with committees meeting as needed.

All Key Club convention forms and payments are due on by Friday, February 29th or late fees will need to be added.

The next International Club meeting will be next Wednesday, February 27. All members should plan to attend. We will be exploring new people and places!

Attention current sophomores: If you are interested in having a great junior year, come to A117 after school this Friday for 20 minutes to hear about the Generation or Promise Program that promotes understanding and connections between different communities in the Metro Detroit area. Candidates must have at least a GPA of 3, good attendance, and enjoy meeting new people in order to participate. An August over night weekend retreat is also required. A follow up meeting with Ms Chris from FOCUS Hope will also be scheduled before the application deadline which is by March 15, 2008.

AP Exam ordering time for May 2008 is fast approaching. Exams are scheduled for May 5-May 16, 2008. Locations are to be determined. The regular exam fee is $84 per test. The time for collecting exam fees will be shortened this year. AP teachers will have more info next week or stop by A117 after school and speak with Mrs. Scaramucci, if you have immediate questions or concerns.

Attention all US FIRST Robotics Members: We will be meeting after school today and tomorrow to get the robot ready to ship. Attendance is mandatory.

Congrats to the boys swim team for defeating Willow Run last Tuesday (Fordson 79- Willow Run 51). The young and talented “tankers” closed out the season with three wins, finishing (3-3) in the Mega blue division. The league meet is this Wednesday (5:00 p.m.) & Friday (6:00 p.m.) at Willow Run High School……S. Wyka

We meet every Thursday in G210 at 2:30, and we are always looking for creative and enthusiastic lords and ladies! We will be designing coats of arms, creating costumes, and lots of fun activites. Officers will be elected after the mid-winter break.
