“Seniors who wrote and submitted a graduation speech to Mrs. Kassem need to come to room B209 on Thursday
(May 22 ,2008) at 2:25 p.m. to try out for their speeches. We will take speakers according to the order in which they signed up. All are expected to show up promptly and stay for the duration of the speeches. There are 11 speeches and each should take no longer than 5 minutes. Two students will be selected to speak during graduation.”

All students running for Student Congress 08-09, must attend meeting after school Wednesday, May 21st in Media Center. If you do not attend this mandatory meeting, you cannot run for office. Mrs. Gass

The Fordson Varsity Swim team has reserved the main gym on Thursday, May 29th (2:15-4:15 p.m.). This activity day (Basketball, Volleyball) is open for all boys and girls who are currently on the swim team, and all students who plan on trying out next year. “A New Course”
Due to a state grant, a new course for next fall entitled: Intro to Advanced Arabic Literature, is now available. Students shoule be very fluent in Modern Standard Arabic reading, writing, and speaking skills. This will be a one semester course worth 1/2 credit. Next home game for girls’ varsity softball is Wednesday, May 21st against Romulus S.A. at 4:00 at Ford Woods.
FHS Vocal Music Department will present it’s annual Spring Concert on Thursday, May 22nd at 7:30 in the auditorium. Admission is $7.00 at the door.
SENIORS: Prom attendance is directly related to school attendance. For those students who are tardy, late, or skip classes you will find you have made a choice not to attend prom this year. You have two months to make sure your attendance is perfect.
