Thursday- The Ned Show and Bucketfiller’s Assembly @ 9:15  Join us!

Friday- PTA Popcorn Sale (50 cents a bag)

 5th Grade Objectives for the Week of December 12th

Literacy

-The students will learn to identify adverbs in a sentence.

-The students will learn how to use pictures, illustrations and diagrams to expand their       vocabulary.

-The students will continue to increase their independent reading stamina.

 

Writing

-The students will continue applying the steps of the writing process to their writing

-The students will continue working on writing an informational piece.

-The students will continue building up their independent writing stamina.

-The students will write letters for children at Ann Arbor Hospital.

 

Math

-The students will continue working on their multiplication facts.

-The students will justify angles surrounding a point add up to 360 degrees.

-The students will learn to measure angles using a protractor.

 

Science

-The students will learn how fossils provide evidence about how living things and environmental conditions have changed.

-The students will learn about the physical traits of organisms that help them survive in their environment.

 

Social Studies

- The students will continue learning a new economic word every day.

- The students will continue learning about the Early People of the Western Hemisphere.

-The students will learn what makes a culture a civilization.

-The students will evaluate the achievement of the Maya.
