Criteria for nomination:
- No more than two teachers can be nominated per student
- Nominations are due April 12, 2013 (LATE NOMINATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED)
- Adults may assist where necessary
- A teacher will be selected from elementary, middle and high school
- Let your teacher know that you nominated them, because the Chamber will not disclose this information
- If you nominate a teacher, please attend the ceremony to congratulate him/her in person
Awardees will be announced at the ceremony on Thursday, May 15, 2013,
4 p.m. at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center

Judges are members of the Dearborn Chamber Education Committee and nominations
are evaluated anonymously on the quality of nominations, not on the number of
nominations received. The Education Committee will tabulate the results.
The Chamber will honor the best elementary, middle
and high school teachers with a $1,000 prize.

Our Mom’s and Muffins Concerts are back by popular demand! Students in Grades K-5 will be performing special selections for our Mother’s in the cafeteria, and then back to the classrooms for a special surprise!

New Date!! Thursday January 21, 2010. It is time once again for our annual combined (Gr. 8-12) Instrumental Music concert at Fordson High School and it promises to be a fun time for all! Students will get the opportunity to perform next to other Middle School and High School musicians as well as sit under the baton of Mr. Scott Guthre, Instrumental Music teacher, Fordson High School. Details as follows:
Concert Uniform
White Button down shirt
Black Pants or Skirt (no short skirts please)
Black socks
Black or dressy shoes
All must arrive: 5 p.m. go to Band Room
String Rehearsal with Mr. Guthre: 5:00 p.m.
Band Rehearsal with Mr. Guthre: 5:30 p.m.
Auditorium doors open: 5:50 p.m.
Concert begins: 6 p.m.
Concert ends: 7 p.m.
After glow: 7 p.m.
This is a graded Performance assignment for all 8th grade students. There will be a few 7th graders selected to participate.
We are all set to take our Performing Arts students “On the road” to Perform a children’s musical at Henry Ford Elementary school on December 15, 2009! The students have been working to learn the songs, choreography, flow and leads for the show. They will even direct it from beginning to end! Targeted audience K-2. Show time(s) TBA, but will be during the school day.
The uniform for all performers is a solid, bright colored shirt, blue jeans (no rips please) and comfortable shoes. The brighter the shirt the better!
Boys
White button-up shirt (long or short sleeve)
Black dress slacks (or suit slacks)
Long tie
Black socks
Black or nice dress shoes
Girls
Black pants or black skirt (knee length or longer
White button-up blouse
Dressy shoes (high heels are difficult to walk in and not practical for stading on risers in a choir.)
Please, no miniskirts with or without leggings.

Purple Instrumental Music sweater (No sweater for Spring concert)

Leave instrument case in parents car for parades.
All students are expected to be on time stay for the entire concert. Parents, please plan on listening to your child perform and staying until the end of the concert. The concert will should be under 1 hours in length. Your support is important appreciated!
