‘Wishing Everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year with the blessings of liberty, good health and peace in our homes and in our hearts!
US HISTORY: We checked and collected our chapter 8 review (done in class) and went over the major concepts including the electoral college. Study the practice test questions using the password each night. Essays were checked in on Tuesday. We took the quiz on the Essentials For Chapter 8. Wednesday is review day for Chapter 8 test (so PLEASE study the questions on the blog’s study guide at the right.) We played a review game called “Send in the Patriots” to prepare for tomorrow’s test. Please ask Santa for some of the supplies you have been running low on–red pens, notebook paper and folders would be great! No homework over vacation but to enjoy your families, rest and enjoy the blessings of liberty during the holidays in this great country!
Eastern Hemisphere: We reviewed chapter 24 and then took our test to show we know. We are starting chapter 25–more on Asia this week. We read chapter 25 and made graphic organizers to make notes for each section as we read. (ONE page for each section, as usual.) The graphic organizers were collected for future use. We will be learning about Gandhi, a peacemaker at the end of our year of studies together. We made a KWL chart to organize our notes on Gandhi. Please ask Santa for extra supplies to help you stay organized and enjoy learning–red pens, notebook paper and folders might be great! No homework over vacation, but to enjoy your families, and the blessings of liberty in this great nation of ours!
