US HISTORY: We had a spirited writing session responding to prompts about the early American government. Complete the online study guide by Wednesday (for the review game). We used QAR to complete the Chapter 9 Review page 296. Finish for homework, please, if needed–Due Thursday. Test on chapter 9 is slated for Thursday. Tuesday is blue and gray day and Wednesday is hat day. PJ bottom day is Thursday and color day is Friday. This is the end of the marking period, so let’s start fresh on Monday with supplies, new folders and a great attitude toward learning!
Eastern Hemisphere: We had a spirited reading of the text book today. Please complete graphic organizers and complete the review questions for chapter 26.1 and 26.2. Some vocabulary is introduced and studied this week in class. We are making vocabulary study sheets. Draw a small “picture” to help you remember the meaning of each word (if you haven’t already done so) to study and remember the words. This is the end of the marking period, so let’s start fresh on Monday with new folders, fresh supplies and a great attitude toward learning!

Hi mrs.Harper:)
Its Diana,i was really upset that i never got to finish the essay questions in class on monday. I really needed those full credit points.:( Im afraid that my grade will stay as a B even if i do good on the test:( is there anyway to boost my grade up to an A or is it too late?
Hi Diana,
Thanks for asking and for caring about your educational success! My suggestion would be to study for the test on chapter 9 on Thursday–it is a weighted portion of your grade in the amount of 80%. The study guide I placed at the right should help you, too, esp. since we went over it today in class. Rereading the book and carefully completing the chapter review is a helpful tool I hope you do well!
Hi Again;) sorry I came late to take the test today:/ I hope you trust that it wasn’t on purpose..I was actually looking forward to it:) is it possible to come early in the morning to take it?
Hi Diana,
No problem–thing happen! I’m always here early, but I think the best thing is to take it in class on Monday. I hope you do well and it sounds like you are well prepared. Have a great day tomorrow–Go Eighth Grade!
Mrs. H.
