Grade 8 Monday: Great presentations on Chapter 10. Study for tomorrow’s quiz.
Tuesday: Open-book quiz today on chapter 10. If you scored less than 16, please plan to outline chapter 11, to help you strengthen your skill as a reader. For homework: Please create graphic organizers, as usual for chapter 11.
Wednesday: Chapter 11: We started to discuss the industrial revolution. We learned how to outline and find the main ideas (again). DHS tonight–enjoy!!
Thursday: Complete the outlines and graphic organizers, as assigned by rounding out your study of chapter 11.
Friday: Complete the chapter review in class, using QAR with page #s.
PBIS Celebration Movie will take place in the auditorium during 5th and 6th hours–Keep up the good work! Students who are not going to the celebration will have an interesting essay assigned during the program.
Grade 7 Monday: 2 worksheets in groups re: The importance of Greek ideas about democracy and citizenship in the development of Western political thought and on comparing and contrasting 2 types of civilization. Projects due Thursday (no exceptions, please). We are going to work in groups to finalize projects tomorrow.

Wednesday: Mapped trade routes in the classical empire. (Handouts and in class reading exercises. Projects due tomorrow (No exceptions, please.)
Thursday: Wonderful work on those projects on the achievements of the Ancient Civilizations. We took notes on graphic organizers for later use.
Friday: We are back in the books to read, complete graphic organizers and comprehension questions on chapter 26.3.
