US History Monday: Essays turned in. Complete Ch 12 Vocabulary. Outlines (for some) due Thursday, as well as all work for chapter 11.
Tuesday: Video/Direct instruction on Andrew Jackson–took notes on his past, his passions, his politics, his principles. Be ready to draft an expository essay on the Age of Jackson later this week. (Add to TOC, of course

Wednesday: Use QAR to complete the chapter 12 review. (Remember to avoid pronouns, use the question to create a “starter statement,” and write in complete sentences.)
Thursday: Test moved to Friday–many students are out for ELPA testing today. Video instruction on the Trail of Tears…

Friday: Test Chapter 12 (Redo’s on expository writing due Monday.) Folders will be collected for grades next week. PPT’s on chapter 13 are due too!
Eastern Hemisphere: Started QAR on the Chapter 12 Review–Due Wednesday, Test Day. Checked work and discussed Chapter 27.
Tuesday: Studied the skill: Recognizing Bias. Completed chapter 27 Review and reviewed for test.
Wednesday: Test Chapter 27.
Thursday: Chapter 28 Made graphic organizers for the whole chapter. CH 28.1: Answered questions 1-5, using QAR. (Test on Chapter 28 in one week.)
Friday: Discussed Applying Your Skills paragraphs on recognizing Bias. Short Video on Japan–can you believe it has been a year since the Tsunami, earthquake and power plant meltdown? Folder Fix-up for homework–Folders will be collected for a grade for this marking period.
