US History Monday:Chapter 13 work/study–Test is WED. Study guide is posted.
Tuesday: Reviewed the chapter in small groups. Study for tomorrow’s test. End of the marking period is today.
Wednesday: War of 1812 Essay contest is encouraged–see the blog at the right for contest rules. I’ll give 20 extra credit points if you choose to do the research, enter the contest by March 30th. (Final Entries are due April 3. Test on Chapter 13 today, which is the start of the new marking period.
Thursday/Friday: Please make a new TOC with chapter 13 work at the start. We started Chapter 14. Read and study. (Test next week, of course.) Use QAR with page numbers to complete the comprehension questions on section 1 in complete sentences. Please avoid pronouns so your brain “tags” the information for later use.
Assemblies: Thursday–2nd hour on Alternative Fuels and Friday–duPBS celebration (“TWILIGHT” themed dance performance and instruction–FYI and Congrats as many more 8th graders can go this time.)
Eastern Hemisphere:
Monday: Chapter 14.2, 14.3 Read/Study–Complete questions 1-5 using QAR. Test is Thursday.
Tuesday: Use QAR for chapter 14 review. (Complete sentences, page numbers and no pronouns, please.)
Wednesday: Corrected ch 14 work together. Reviewed for test on chapter 14, tomorrow. Do you like writing and entering conests? Do you want extra credit? See the war of 1812 Essay contest info on the blog. Entries are due to me by March 30th for credit and it does involve some research at home. (Official entries are due April 3.)
Thursday: Vocab sheets and test for chapter 14. Please make new TOCs starting with chapter 14 work.
Friday: PBIS celebration, today! Chapter 15 begins–read, study, complete GO’s as usual, and complete the comprehension questions 1-7, for section 1, as discussed.
