4/4/08 WORLD RELIGIONS CONTINUED
Above are religious symbols from around the world.
Yesterday in groups of four, students used two articles and s study guide to fill in a 5 major world religions chart. Today I placed the blank charts on the overhead projector and asked students one at a time to place a piece of information on the chart. All classes did a fine job. I’m amazed by the understanding of my 7th grade students. They seem to be fascinated with religions. They ask questions. They share with each other. It’s cooperative learning at it’s best.
2 reminders for the weekend: 1) Monday the LAW DAY ESSAY rough draft is due. Be prepared for a peer editing session. 2) The world religions quiz is on Wednesday, April 9. You have a study guide, two articles, and your chart to study from. The essay question (one paragraph minimum) is, “State the similarities and differences between Hinduism and Buddhism.”
HAVE AN AMAZING WEEKEND! WILL I SEE ANYONE AT COMERICA PARK THIS SATURDAY? LET ME KNOW!
