Wow! We really hit the ground running today! We got a lot accomplished today. I want to thank everyone for your cooperation.
First, we checked the homework assignment from last night and the night before.
After that we read and discussed section 24-2. Don’t forget to review! The students then worked on the corresponding worksheet 24-2.

If any of those two sheets were not finished in class they must be finished for homework. Due the next time we meet.
The class received their Chapter 18 tests back today. As a majority the class was quite succussful! Congrats to you all! Keep up the great work!

We started off the class with a six minute introduction video about the physical geography of Asia.
We read section 24-1 on page 451 as a class.
On page 454, students need to complete Section Assessment numbers 1-4. If not finished in class, it must be completed for homework.
TEST TODAY!
As a review for the Chapter 18 Test, the class played a game of Jeopardy. Congrats to the winning teams, and to those who tried their best.
After the test, students were assigned to read section 24-1 in their text book. Once they read, they must complete worksheet 24-1 (two sided) and Activity Atlas page 100 (two sided). These pages will be due on Monday.

We’re back to normal scheduleing today.
In class students watched an excellent History Channel DVD called Modern Marvels: The Berlin Wall. They were required to take notes on the information from the DVD.
Students were given time in class to complete their Chapter 18 Test Prep Kit.
Students were also given the Chapter 18 essay question to study and practice.
STUDY HARD! Don’t be afraid to try different study techniques.
All classes met to complete a writing prompt. There were no Social Studies activities today. Enjoy your half day!!
***TEST ALERT*** Chapter 18 Test on Thursday and Friday January 25 and 26.
Test Prep Kits were given out today (except 1st hour: copy issues). They are due on the day of the test, and no later.
Homework: Complete worksheet 18-4. Due Monday.

I’d like to throw a special congrats to ALL the Bryant Middle Schoolers who perfromed in “Seussical the Musical” over the weekend. I caught the show on Sunday and it was absolutely wonderful. Great job cast! You were awesome!
Work on Chapter 17 study guide with table partner. Read each section summary (17-1, 17-2, 17-3, and 17-4) and answer the questions that follow.

1) Students worked independently on worksheet page 63 & 64. If not done in class, it is homework. Due on January 8th.
2) Students received the Test Prep Kit for chapter 17. Due the day of the test. Test Prep Kits are not accepted late.
3) Students received the Chapter 17 Test essay questions. Don’t forget to practice writing the essay questions!
4) Students received a copy of their “marking period 3″ progress report. Don’t forget to get it signed and turned in! It is counted as a homework grade. Due January 8th.
