Grades K-1:

Parents, it is very important that you work with your child on the following skills so that your child is successful in reading and writing: 

• letter recognition & sound recognition
• directional formation of letters.  (it is very important that your child writes letters correctly).
• help your child count and recognize numbers 1-30
• Help your child write his/her first and last name with upper and lower case letters.
