Dearborn Schools Acceptable Use Guidelines

Please read these rules and understand that we will be following them absolutely.
Please return the signed parent letter in order to proceed with on-line activities.

Course description and standards and benchmarks are posted on the main “Mrs. Elliott Computers” Web Page.

Recommended supplies:

  • Earphones will be quite essential and can be bought at a dollar store. It will be important for students to have them for accessing tutorials on-line, editing and downloading music or movies. Because we will use them every day, they will be locked in a cupboard here in room 222. Do not bring your “good” headphones.
  • 2 music CDs to import into iTunes. These must be legally purchased CDs with no offensive language in the lyric. I will have a few CDs in class for students who do not have music cds. This music will be used for future projects. CDs will go home after they are downloaded into iTunes.
  • personal flash drive is recommended but not required. Small drives of up to 128 Megabytes can be found in many stores or online for around $10. Flash drives are essential for moving content from one computer to another. They have replaced the floppy disk and will soon replace the CD for transporting data. I will supply a small number of flash drives for students who are unable to bring one.
