The preprinted lunch menu for next week reads “Chef’s Choice”. Here’s what the chef is choosing to serve next week…
MON: Nachos & Cheese
TUES: Pizza
WED: Sack-n-Go
We received notification today from Dr. Klee that children are not to bring backpacks to school for the remainder of the school year.
Please send only a lunch box (if having a packed lunch) to class. All notes will be sent home in your child’s folder.
All library books and any books brought home in the reading bag should be returned to school on Monday.
If you cannot locate the book(s), please let me know.
We have a field trip scheduled for Thursday, June 3rd to the Detroit Science Center. The cost is $6 per child or chaperone. Children and chaperones should bring a bagged lunch.
I apologize for the rushed nature of this trip. We had a bus scheduled but were unable to confirm our reservation until late last Thursday. On Friday, you should have received a white note/permission slip at pick-up. The money and permission slips are now due!
Please consider being a chaperone. At this time, we have no chaperones for our class. With no chaperones, our class will not be able to attend the field trip. If you are able to volunteer, please let me know and send your $6 to class. Thank you in advance if you’re able to help us.
All of the Dads are invited to join us on Tuesday, June 8th at 2:30 in honor of Fathers’ Day.
Invitations are coming home today (6/1). Please RSVP on or before this Friday by returning the slip at the bottom of the invite.
We hope you’ll be able to join us!
Just a reminder that the kindergarten music concert is tonight, Thursday, May 27th.
The children should arrive in their classrooms at 5:15pm. Family members will take their seats in the gym.
Our performance will begin at 5:30pm and should last for about 30 minutes.
Children are asked to dress in nice spring/summer clothes.
Tomorrow (Friday, May 28th) is the last day to submit items for our class raffle basket. Our theme is coffee and tea.
Thank you to the families who have already contributed. Your generosity supports the efforts of the PTA to provide all of our students with a variety of activities at little or no cost to families.
I wanted to thank everyone who sent items in last week for Teacher Appreciation Week. I am very grateful for your kindness. The children especially enjoyed Thursday when we received some new items for outside play.
Thank you also to the PTA for organizing and setting up a delicious breakfast and lunch on Friday.
Everything was fantastic!
Just a reminder that items for our class raffle basket (our theme is Coffee/Tea) for the Snow School picnic are due by next Friday, May 28th.
Thank you to those who have already contributed. The PTA relies on the raffle ticket sales to keep the cost of the picnic down so every family can participate.
When fall pictures were taken, families had the option of purchasing a school yearbook. The yearbooks are now in. Those families who ordered one will be receiving their copy today (5/21). If you do not receive one but thought you ordered one, please contact me. I have the distribution list from the photographer.
If you did not order a yearbook but would still like to get one, there are a limited number available for sale in the office. Please call 827-6250 to get your copy.
