A Big Thank You!

Friday, June 14th, 2013

I would like to say a big THANK YOU to my first grade class!  Thank you for being such a wonderful group of kids.  You have touched my heart in so many ways through your curious questions, laughter, smiles and hugs.  You will always be remembered :)

Thank you for my class gift of “Summer Fun”.  The family and I will enjoy the chocolates together and I will enjoy laying in the sun, drinking some wine and listening to music. My girls are quite excited about the fan mister :)   Thanks again :)

I would also like to say Thank you to Mrs. York and Mrs. Beydoun for helping out with our End of the Year celebration.  Your help and time were appreciated by the students and I.

Also, thank you to Mrs. Engquist for planning all of our celebrations this year, our class basket and the Teacher Appreciation week.  Your time and creativeness were greatly appreciated :)

I hope everyone has a wonderful and rested summer vacation.  Good luck next year and I’ll be seeing ya!

Tuesday, April 23rd, 2013

Yesterday I sent home a paper about a Summer Reading Skills Program held at U of M Dearborn.  This is for all grades!

Those students who are entering 2nd grade in the fall would go to U of M Dearborn from Sunday, June 23-July 21, from 10-12 noon.  (I’m not sure how many days a week they go)

If you are interested, then call 1-800-978-9596 for more information.

Xtramath.org

Today I sent home a new website for your child to use.  Xtramath.org is a great website that will help your child learn their addition facts well.  The information sheet that came home explains how to get your child registered so they can play it daily.  This website is free!

If you have any additional children at home, then you can sign them up as well.  This website also has subtraction, multiplication and division based on your child’s grade level.  Enjoy!
