We wrote story problems today using jellybeans.

Please ask your child about the lesson.

What fraction did each child get in their story?

We will have a test on Fractions Thursday.

It will include equal parts of a group, give the fraction for the shaded part and shade the parts to make a given fraction. They will also use fraction cards to name fractions <,>,= 1/2.

They should know that the denominator (bottom number) names the number of equal parts and the numerator(top number) is how many of those parts we are talking about.

Please have your child in the room at 6:45 tonight. After they perform, we will return to the classroom until 3rd graders are finished. We are going to play bingo. Please stay and enjoy the 3rd grade performance as well. Each performance is only a few minutes.
