It has been awhile since I was tinkering with the Kaltura Community Edition Server. It is a server that allows for online video editing, uploading, converting, and much more. I will be adding this new plugin and working to upgrade the system possibly as soon as Christmas. Otherwise it may have to wait until summer since this is a major undertaking.
Basically this plugin along with the Kaltura server will allow every teacher to add video, music, and photos into their blog. I am not sure if it will allow the teacher to put the video into the blog or if it is limited to their BuddyPress profile page. I am hoping it will allow for publishing of video into the blog.
It’s been my dream to develop a teacher website publishing system that rivals services that you would pay for. Especially those services that charge school districts 10′s of thousands of dollars. Adding video support in an easy to use system is one step closer to that goal.
