Today at Lowrey- our 6th graders participated in the Annual Veteran’s Day Ceremony. Ask your 6th graders about their experience today- ask them about the mood and tone of the ceremony. These are important Language Arts concepts that can be used in every day life situations as well.
All 6th and 7th grade students used today to Work on Writing or Read to Self. Their activities came directly from the Weekly Menu they planned and prepared themselves.
HOMEWORK this WEEKEND for 6th and 7th Grade:
Finish Any Menu Items that were not completed in class this week- DUE MONDAY!
Study for your upcoming quiz about Types of Conflict in Literature. Also study The Pyramid of Action- this will be a part of the upcoming quiz.
Thanks for the Helper Supplies that have been sent in. Remember- Students can earn up to 3 extra credit points per marking period for bringing in tissue, hand sanitizer or a Dollar Store bag of Jolly Ranchers (please don’t spend more than a dollar). 1 point per item- 3 points maximum per marking period.
One more note….
Many of you probably already know that TLC (The Learning Channel) has a new series beginning this Sunday, November 13 at 10pm entitled “All-American-Muslim.” It will follow the lives of 5 Dearborn families including the football coach from Fordson High School. This show will be aired nationally and will bring the spotlight to our community. I hope everyone can tune in and more importantly, that Dearborn is portrayed in the positive light it deserves. I am proud to be a part of this truly unique community- I learn each and every day along with my students! Included below is a link to the TLC website:
