Happy Friday the 13th!  :)

Remember- NO SCHOOL on Monday 1-16-12

6th Grade:

We are working hard and preparing to write our 1st Yellow Hamburger Essay (Writing from Knowledge and Experience) next week.  Homework for the weekend:

  • Come ready on Tuesday with the topic you are going to use for your essay.  Remember-  the prompt is:  Write about a time when you faced a fear.
  • MANY students were given back their Winter packets.  These were supposed to be finished and turned in on Tuesday 1-10-12.  Many students turned in incomplete packets.  They were given a 2nd chance.  They need to finish, fix or complete and turn these in by TUESDAY 1-17-12

7th Grade:

  • We are reading Rikki-Tikki- Tavi by Rudyard Kipling in our literature books.  We will finish up the story over the break.  Students are doing a great job in class with prediction, and identifying examples of suspense and foreshadowing in the text.
